Antrodia for You
Let's look at Antrodia or Niu Chang as it is called in Taiwan. The common name is ruby mushroom. Our unassuming Asian mushroom grows on camphorwood. Both the fruit and body possess antibacterial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-fatigue, and anticancer activity. It is becoming rare, as the wood is traditionally used for high end furniture. However, camphorwood is now protected. Fruiting Antrodia has sold for over $15,000 per kilo. Apparently, the mycelium is difficult to grow in culture. Maybe you'd like to experiment and be the first to successfully raise some Antrodia?
